Posted 21 Sep Im here for a few weeks and trying to learn some german in the meantime. I know the programmes will still be in german but its far too quick for me to follow. If I saw the subtitles for programmes like the Simpsons where I know the storylines and sketches off by heart , I could pick up a few things.

The three-digit number is the one you type into teletext to get them. The following number in brackets or - if not available is a guide to which programmes have subtitles.

I haven't found a way to configure DVB-T to automatically display teletext subtitles as YorkshireLad suggested; maybe somebody has an insight into this? I'm guessing that the other ARD channels which I can't get up here in Brandenburg are also putting out teletext subtitles on , but that the page for the programme guide is variable from channel to channel or non-existent.
